Welcome to Shri Indradeo Singh International School

UPPER PRIMARY WING (VI to VIII)

"Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think."

– Albert Einstein

The Upper Primary Section at our school serves as a vital bridge between foundational learning and deeper academic exploration. In Grades VI to VIII, students begin to engage with subjects in greater depth, develop critical thinking, and gradually take on more academic responsibility. Our curriculum, based on CBSE guidelines, ensures a smooth and structured transition from basic concepts to more advanced learning.

At this stage, the academic program expands to include distinct subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, along with Hindi and Marathi. IT (Information Technology) continues with a focus on digital literacy, basic programming, and safe online practices. Additionally, General Knowledge and Value Education remain integral, helping students stay informed and grounded in ethics and empathy.

Co-scholastic activities continue to play an essential role in the all-round development of students. Through Art & Craft, Music, Dance, Physical Education, Yoga, and Taekwondo, Abacus (for Grade VI) , Career Counselling ( VII to VIII), Financial Literacy students are encouraged to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop leadership and teamwork skills. Educational trips, projects, and cultural events also form a regular part of the learning experience. Teaching methods at this level focus on inquiry-based and experiential learning, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP).

Assessments are a blend of formative and summative tools designed to identify strengths, support improvement, and encourage self-reflection. Teachers guide students not just to learn but to understand, question, and connect concepts to real life.

Our goal in the Upper Primary Section is to prepare students with the academic skills, emotional intelligence, and confidence they need as they progress toward secondary education. We help them become independent learners, responsible citizens, and well-rounded individuals.
